The Guild is deeply saddened to learn today of the death of Fr. Christopher Rengers, OFM, Cap., one of our founding board members. Fr. Christopher worked tirelessly to promote the miracle of Our Lady of Guadalupe and for the Cause of Saint Juan Diego. The contributions of time and talent given to the Guild over the course of his 30+ years with us are too numerous to mention. Fr. Christopher was an expert on the Catholic saints, and his many books and articles on Our Lady and other subjects led us to a greater understanding of our faith.

Most of all, Fr. Christopher was a kind and gentle soul, and he will be greatly missed.

Shrine Church Dedication Week a Success
The Guild was pleased to participate in the Church Dedication week at the
Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin recently. We spent the week distributing Guild newsletters, prayer cards, pamphlets, and
pilgrimage information to an enthusiastic crowd of visitors. We were also
pleased to sponsor Bishop Joseph Madera's talk on the catechism of the
Tilma, and Marty Rotella's performance at the St. Juan Diego Guild day for
children.

Many thanks to Archbishop Burke and Sister Christa Marie for allowing us
the opportunity to participate. The week was full of perfectly planned
activities, and the Dedication Mass on Thursday, July 31, was exceptionally
beautiful. It was a joy to be present!

If you have the opportunity, please visit the Shrine of Our Lady of
Guadalupe in La Crosse. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting, and a
wonderful tribute to Our Lady. The new church is now open daily from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with Masses scheduled Monday - Saturday at 11:00, and Sundays at 1:00.
